I paint in a style that emulates the miniature paintings found in 15th-century illuminated manuscripts. I then add elements of contemporary imagery. My Christine de Pisan at Her Computer , 2000, was published as an illustration this Fall in Well-behaved Women Seldom Make History by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (Knopf, 2007).
